The Aegix Platform gives educators and first responders the tools to communicate instantly, manage incidents in real time, and keep every student accounted for — from a single app.
Everything educators and first responders need to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies
A highly accessible, programmable device worn on wrist, lanyard, or lapel. One press activates the full Aegix emergency suite — alerting law enforcement, administrators, and staff instantly. Required by Utah law (H.B. 84) in every classroom.
Live digital floor plans and campus maps display every room name and number. Responders get an accurate overview of the entire site without searching for paper floor plans during an emergency.
Principals and administrators can lock down the entire school with a single button press. Every user on the system instantly sees the lockdown status and hears an alarm on their device.
Teachers report their classroom as Safe, Unsafe, or Need Medical Attention with a single tap. Classrooms appear green or red on the interactive map, giving administrators and responders real-time accountability.
Proprietary multidirectional chat connects teachers, administrators, law enforcement, and dispatch. All communications are date, location, and time-stamped and saved for post-incident review.
Integrated ZeroEyes AI-powered gun detection uses existing cameras with human-in-the-loop verification. Threats are identified and verified by trained military and law enforcement professionals before alerting responders.
From onboarding to incident response, the Aegix Platform is designed for speed and simplicity
Interactive floor plans and campus maps are set up with every room name and number during initial deployment.

How the Aegix Platform calmed the chaos during a coordinated active shooter hoax targeting Utah schools.
On March 29, 2023, the Spanish Fork Police Department received a call reporting an active shooter at Spanish Fork High School with two students allegedly deceased. The school was the victim of a coordinated "swatting" hoax targeting schools across Utah and other states.
Just one week earlier, the school had completed its rollout and staff training on the Aegix Platform — a decision that proved critical in the minutes that followed.
When police arrived, Principal Matt Christensen pulled his phone from his pocket and hit "lockdown." Instantly, every user on the system heard an alarm and saw the school was in lockdown. Teachers pressed a button to report their classroom as safe or unsafe — each room lighting up green or red on the interactive map.
Students were scattered across classrooms, offices, stairwells, and bathrooms. Teachers and administrators communicated through the platform to account for every person on campus. After 24 tense minutes, Lt. Cory Slaymaker of the Spanish Fork Police Department sent a message through the app confirming the threat was a hoax.
"Teachers were able to show their phones to students and say, 'This is what's real, and this is what's happening' — calming them in an extremely high-stress situation."
School locked down with a single button press, immediately alerting all staff and law enforcement.
Every person on campus was accounted for via the interactive map and safety status reporting.
Teachers and administrators coordinated throughout the incident, even across scattered locations.
Teachers used the app to show students verified information, reducing panic and controlling misinformation.
Law enforcement cleared the hoax and communicated the all-clear through the platform directly to staff.
Administrators confirmed each child was safe and not in danger, providing real-time reassurance to families.
